Stance Equitec Placid Rein Plus for Horses

Placid Rein PLUS is a unique powdered formula designed to support normal stress in horses and to help maintain a consistent attitude to work whether at home or away.

Unlike Placid Rein, Placid Rein PLUS includes resveratrol, an antioxidant that may help the body detoxify of free radicals, and Ashwaghanda (Withania), a herb known for it’s calming properties.

Placid Rein PLUS can be administered daily and long term for naturally highly strung or nervous horses. Alternatively, it may be used to help aid in pre-event nerves.

Symptoms of nervous horses
• Excessive sweating, even in moderate climates
• Loss of condition (especially when traveling)
• Refusal to eat or drink in different environments
• Excitable and difficult to manage

About the ingredients
Resveratrol has been added as it is an antioxidant that may help the body efficiently detoxify free radicals and it shows signs of being cardio-protective, anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory. 

Magnesium is included in several forms as magnesium has a role in over 300 biochemical processes in the body. A magnesium deficiency can cause nervous or anxious behaviour.

Seaweed derived calcium is a rich source of magnesium and calcium.

Baikal skull cap is a herb that has been used for centuries in Chinese medicine as a natural calmer.

Tyrosine is used in humans to treat anxiety.

Diamond V Yeast XPC (yeast prebiotic) is included in Placid Rein PLUS as there is a strong link between stress and digestive upset. This prebiotic is thought to positively influence the growth of good bacteria and eradicate bad gut bacteria to support digestive and immune function.

Glutamic acid is included for it’s role in brain metabolism.

Placid Rein PLUS contains high levels of B vitamins well known for their roles in nervous system function.

Withania also known as ashwagandha, is a valued herb that may have calming, de-stressing and mood lifting properties. It may help with tension and stress during events and training.

Feeding Guide

Placid Rein PLUS should be introduced gradually into diet over a two week period. 
Split into two feeds (morning and night) where possible. 
Always provide access to clean water. 

1 scoop = 35g

Can be used as a daily supplement or five days prior to an event. 

Morning feed: 1 x scoop (35g)
Night feed: 1 x scoop (35g)
